Fabric Finishing and Treatment Processes
Cadworks provides professional fabric finishing and treatment services in the UK, applying specialist processes tailored to each fabric’s end use and performance requirements. Using our in-house expertise and dedicated equipment, we support high-quality digital textile printing from production through to final inspection.
Heat Fixation and In-House Treatment Processes
All printed production orders pass through dry heat fixation as part of our finishing process. This stabilises colour, improves durability, and prepares fabrics for inspection and delivery.
Our finishing line is equipped with chemical padding and washer units, allowing us to carry out complete pre- and post-treatment processes in-house. This integrated setup supports coating, finishing, and drying within a controlled production environment.
Padding, Coating and Performance Enhancement
Padding involves applying a specialist coating to fabric, either before or after printing, to enhance performance. Depending on the application, this can improve colour yield, rub and wash fastness, or produce a softer handle.
Using bespoke chemical formulations, Cadworks can enhance colour strength and vibrancy by up to 25%, increasing colour penetration and print depth. Results vary depending on fabric type, design, and colourway.
Our post-treatment processes now support collections for upholstery, apparel, table linens and napkin fabrics, with new ranges launching regularly.
